Made It Monday!

Oh my goodness I cannot believe it has been almost a month since I last blogged!

I am blogging for my Monday Made It, but really I didn’t make anything. When I said made it I mean I made it through the first move!! It was a tab bit stressful, but we MADE it!!

My husband and I have packed up (mostly, a few random things still need to find a home in a box) our home and put it into storage while we moved in with my in-laws. We will be visiting them until our BIG move later this fall.

I cannot believe how much STUFF we have accumulated over the past 7 years! I mean we have gotten birthday and Christmas gifts; we were also blessed by family and friends with most of the kitchen items we registered for when we got married but I didn’t think it was that much. I still made lots of trips to the Goodwill and other donation sites to get rid of older lightly used items.

I look at our home now and it seems so empty and sad. I am excited for our new adventure, but it is hard saying goodbye to the place we have called home the past 7 years.

It also makes moving very difficult when both parties involved are working full time and work long days. I started my long-term sub position the second week in August and have tried to split my time between preparing a classroom (while have anxiety that I am setting it up incorrectly) for another teacher, and packing the random items left in our home.  Later this week I will blog more about the fabulous second grade room/ team/ kiddos I am luck to work with for the next few months.

I hope you are having a fabulous Monday and will be thinking and praying for you this week, as many of you start back with your kiddos.

Until Next Time,

Tell All Tuesday: A Goal, A Wish, and A Dream!

It's Tuesday! Which means it time for another Tell All Tuesday with Jayme from Teach, Talk Inspire and Diana from My Day in K. It's hard to believe this will be the last one of the summer! I cannot believe that summer is coming to an end! I have really enjoyed linking up, learning more about some amazing bloggers, and making some great new friends.

This week’s Tell all Tuesday topic is A Wish, A Goal, and A Dream for this school year.

A Goal: This year I start a new chapter of my teaching career. Since our big move to Texas will take place months after school begins, we’ve decided a sub position works best. The perfect position opened up as last year came to an end. I will be in a 2nd grade classroom for a maternity leave that is the exact amount of time I will have left in Arizona. I mean God has always opened doors for me and I am so thankful for that.
I have never taught 2nd grade, so I am a little nervous!!! I love Kinderland!!! I know that this will be perfect for me to grow as a educator and help fine tune some classroom management. If you have ANY advice for long term subbing please feel free to share!! I am all ears!!

A Wish: This is my wish every year!! I want every child that passes through the classroom door to feel valued and loved EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! My favorite part of the day is snack time. Yes I know that’s not really part of my job as a teacher, but I love having a few minutes to really love on my kiddos. One on one time is so hard when you are always focused on teaching the standards and fitting everything into an already packed day This is also where I tend to learn things my kiddos wouldn’t normally share.

A Dream: I am so loving the Random Acts of Kindness Movement!! I feel inspired every day to do at least one random act of kindness. Why not bring it into the school/classroom?!? I was inspired by Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade with her currently post. She said she would share random acts of kindness with teachers at her school through mailbox goodies! I love that idea and I think I’m going to borrow it this year. BUT. . . I wont stop at just teachers! Kiddos need some love and so do some parents as well as the amazing office staff. This school year will hold a lot of LOVE for many great people!

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my random rambling! Ha I can’t wait to read your Goal, Wish, and Dream for this school year!!

Until Next Time,
