St. Patrick's Day Fun

Hi Y’all

Can you believe it is already March? Where has the time gone?

We are starting to plan for St. Patrick’s Day and I bet you are too! I have found some CUTE activities that are free or SUPER CHEAP! I wanted to share them with you and help you plan next week more easily.

One of the first activities I found was this super cute Pot of Gold painting craft.
All you will need for this craft is finger paint and paper! So easy! First you cut out a pot from black paper and glue it to your white paper. Then you PAINT! Gold coins and rainbow hands. Below is a less messy version using construction paper. Perfect for a parent gift.
Paper Rainbow Hands

For a little more academic fun I found this adorable Taste the Rainbow activity by Erica Bohrer.

This would be great fun with littles in your classroom. Give each student the same amount of Skittles and let them sort the colors. Great tool for helping students begin math discussions.

Erica also has this sweet St. Patrick’s Day Banner for FREE.

Each kiddo gets on pennant and decorates it. The students complete the sentence “I feel lucky when. . .”! It is such a fun way to decorate your classroom for the day.

I have this cute Shamrock Compound Word Puzzle activity.

It comes is black and White as well as having versions that have the words on each card.

There are 3 different recording sheets as well.

I also found this GREAT blog that shares many more St. Patrick’s Day crafts! Here are just a few:
I love that most of these require items you already have in your classroom and need little to NO Prep!

If you use one of these let me know! I can’t wait to see what you plan for St. Patrick’s Day!

Until Next Time,

It's been a while . .

Happy Fri-Yay Ya’ll!

This week has really flown by and I completely missed my Tuesday link up so I’m linking up a few days late with Diana from  My Day in K and Jayme from Teach Talk Inspire for their Tell All Tuesday 2.0! This week we are sharing how we Relax for our Summertime Recharge!

During the school year life is constantly in Drive will a full calendar, so during the summer I try to only plan a few big things.

This summer we focused on FAMILY, and Quality Time! We were able to head to Arizona and visit our family and introduce Lil Peanut to everyone! I was able to get a few relaxing massages and sign up for my first race (Eeekk! I am so not a runner!).  We also were able to watch some new shows on Netflix and host some family get-togethers. P.S. Have you seen the new movie on Netflix?!? I absolutely LOVED the book The Little Prince Book by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry, so I am so excited to watch this new movie!!

I would say this summer was very Relaxing! I am ready to jump back in and get my hustle on! What about you? I can’t wait to read about your Summertime Recharge! Thank you for stopping by this little blog!

Tell All Tuesday: Summer Snapshot

Happy Tuesday Ya’ll!

I’m linking up with Diana from  My Day in K and Jayme from Teach Talk Inspire with their Tell All Tuesday 2.0! This week we are sharing some fun summer memories for a Snapshot of Summer!

We were able to start our summer off by visiting our family in Arizona! It was so nice to have our daughter FINALLY meet some of our closest friends and extended family.
I loved watching her face light up when she met her cousins for the first time.  I think this is one of my favorite pictures from our trip!

My in-laws live in Arizona and have not held Lil Peanut since their visit in December. She was so happy playing with her Abuelita and Grandpa.

I can’t wait to see your Snapshot and hear about your summer! Thank you for stopping by this little blog!

Until Next Time,

Two Truths and A Lie - Revealed

Happy Friday Ya’ll!

This week I joined up with Diana from  My Day in K and Jayme from Teach Talk Inspire for their summer weekly linky Tell All Tuesday! This week’s challenge was to tell two truths and a lie.

If you missed that post do worry you can catch it HERE!

Let’s review my facts:

This summer we get most of our produce from our new vegetable garden!

When I graduated high school I wanted to get my degree in Hotel and Resort Management.

When my husband and I went on our honeymoon our daughter, cousin and her husband came with us!

Number 1!!

We had such High Hope for our beautiful garden! Sadly most of our plants were eaten alive by the nasty little burrowing worms! I was lucky enough to get FIVE huge and delicious zucchini before the plants were destroyed.

Oh the other hand my tomato plants have taken over! I forgot to put cages around them so they grow out instead of up. I have hand a harvest every few weeks, so they must like this growing pattern.

A few of you asked for some tips on gardening. I’m still super new to this, but this is what I can share from what I’ve learned. I have an above ground garden. My tomatoes LOVE the full day sunlight! I also bought organic compost and mixed it in with the above ground soil I bought from HomeDepot.

For fun!! Here is a picture of number 3!

When my husband planned our honeymoon he thought it would be fun to have a closest friends come with us. Mostly because we had our honeymoon 10 months after our wedding! When we planned our trip we had not planned on another guest, she was a complete surprise! Here is a tip!! DO NOT go Sailing 4 months pregnant! It does not go very well!

Hope you had fun reading my facts! I can’t wait to find out what your lie is!
