Five for Friday October 30

Happy Friday Ya’ll!!

I am linking up with the fabulous Kasey over at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! I have lots of randomness to share today! If you want to join in on the fun click the link above!!

I am having the best time exploring Austin! I was heading to the shopping area near our soon to be home and spotted this guy! How amazing is this?!?!

You can order lunch and then shop. Your food will be ready when you are finished and you can enjoy great brick oven pizza! I will have to try this the next time I am out and about.

On our next adventure my husband took me to see Buc-cee’s. In Arizona I though we had big gas stations, but boy was I wrong!!

Ya’ll there has to be about 80 different pumps!!! I was even more impressed by how clean the bathrooms were. I couldn’t believe it. I have a friend who LOVES hand sanitizer so I had to take some quick pictures for her. She was impressed.

When we first got to Austin and drove to my grandparents’ house I was so excited to see a street with the same name we have chosen for our lil peanut!
I couldn’t believe it! It was perfect! Our tiny tot will be great grand baby number 8 for my grandparents and it is even sweeter that they live less than a mile from a street with her name.

Today it poured!! I mean really poured. It was a record-breaking rain. Moving from Arizona where we would get maybe 7 inches of rain a yea,r Maybe, I was shocked!! It rained 14.5 inches in 24 hours!
We could have built a swimming pool in the backyard there was so much water. I guess this tends to happen. My aunt said there are a few big rains each year. I guess I should buy some rain boots!

My coworker asked me if I had anything for kiddos struggling with beginning sound recognition, and if I could send it to her. She sure is lucky!
I just finished my Beginning Sound Sort packet! I just posted it in my store! It’s on sale for $1.00 right now! Head on over and pick it up. Your kiddos will cut and glue pictures under the correct sound, and there are a few assessment pages at the end to track your students progress!

Hope you all had a great week! I cannot wait to read what you were up to this very busy week before Halloween!!

Until Next Time,
 Kimberlee

Five of Friday October 24

Hi Ya’ll!!

Happy Weekend! I am excited to be linking up with Doodle Bug Teaching for one of my favorite linkys. I am a little later getting to my Five for Friday! Ooopsie!! Time flies when you are having fun right?!?

I am excited to say we have only 7 short weeks before me meet our lil peanut! Time really has flown by this year. I am hoping she comes around Thanksgiving, but all that matters is that she is healthy and happy! When you had your first were you more excited or anxious to meet you tiny tot?

Do you have a fit bit? I got one this summer and LOVE it!! I also think the challenges are fun and encouraging. I had a hard time in the beginning of my pregnancy exercising because I was so dang tired! ALL. THE. TIME. The fitbit app really helped me keep moving. I love getting my little buzz at towards the end of the day when I reach my 10,000 step goal. If you don’t have one, I would highly recommend getting one. Amazon has them at a great price and if you have prime you get free shipping!

I am so happy I joined the TPT Social Media Tribe on FB and IG. I have learned so many new tricks about using IG and was introduced to an amazing group of teachers! I love how welcoming they all have been, and the encouragement has been amazing. If you have an InstaGram check us out, search for #tptsocialmediatribe or #tptIGinsiders

Do your kinder kids struggle with Letter Recognition? If so I just added a new product to my store that will help with letter recognition, letter formation, and first sound recognition. I can’t wait to see these activities in action. My kiddos were able to practice these skills, and my co-teacher is going to start using them in her small group activity time as added practice.

Being a tpt seller has allowed me to help my co-teachers with standard their student struggle with and encouraged me to keep creating! Sometimes when you create a product you question if it will actually help teachers and students. I LOVE when you can see the difference. I have a friend who moved to Chicago (super sad about that) and began teaching kindergarten is a school with little to no curriculum. She would tell me what they would lesson plan for the next week and I was able to create something to help. It is amazing to hear how well the activity worked and what needed some support. Currently her kids are struggling with first sound recognition, so I am working on an activity that will help them as well as encourage fine motor skills! Collaboration is FUN!

Until Next Time,

Crafty Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

I don’t know about ya’ll but my back counter and on top of my cubbies would be littered by plastic water bottles. I mean I would spend about 8 minutes everyday dumping out water and recycling the poor forgotten plastic bottles. I tried to remind my kiddos to grab their water before they left, but with 31 five year olds its hard to get the job done.

I came up with a solution! I hated wasting plastic water bottles, so I turned them into crafts!

I know we are still in October, but this gives you time to save up so plastic water bottles and plan and prep!!

I LOVE PENGUINS!! I would also make time to teach about penguins during December, and loved finishing up our penguin study with a craft. Before my water bottle plan I always made paper plate penguins.

Now with some cotton balls, felt, feathers, googly eyes, and paper we make these cute little guys!!

Great Practice for fine motor skill when pushing those big cotton balls in the water bottles!

Happy Crafting with your kiddos.

Until Next Time,

Sunday Scoop 10-11-15

HAPPY SUNDAY YA’LL!!!

The Sunday Scoop is based on the popular 3-2-1 graphic organizers so many of us use with our students.
You tell us three things you HAVE to do, two things you HOPE to do, and one thing you're HAPPY to do.

HAVE TO:
1.     Laundry: ALWAYS a much on Sundays. I am quickly running out of things that fit properly for school so this is a must for me every week.
2.      Finish packing for our Flight. In 6 short days we will get on the last flight from our AZ home and head to our new Texas Home!!
3.     Prep for the new sub! Eeek!! I am super excited about our new adventure but I worry so much about my little people. I want everything to run smoothly for their transition.

HOPE TO:
1.     Finishing Labeling Teaching Boxes. I have so much stuff and when we move I want to make sure all my teaching stuff stays together. I also want to be able to pull out the right box when I am looking for a specific tool/activity.
2.     I started a few new projects but have been so tired after such long days in second. My goal is complete at least one of the new projects!

HAPPY TO:
1. I will NEVER complain when my husband tells me I looked stressed and tired. BECAUSE he will always follow up with maybe you should have a spa day. Love this man of mine who loves on me and tells me to pamper myself.

I can't wait to hear what you have going on this week or today! Grab the images and head over to Teaching Trio to link up!

Until Next Time,

 Kimberlee
